1. Bakit kailangan Why

Output stays 5 V while the input changes. Below about 7 V it can't keep up: that's dropout.

2. Ang circuit

IN – GND – OUT. Capacitors in and out; a diode against reversed batteries. Schottky drops only ~0.3 V vs ~0.66 V.

The capacitors soak up noise and short drop-outs.

4. Ang init The heat

P = (Vin − 5) × I. 12 V, 1 A → 7 W na init! Ang buck converter ay ~90% matipid. A linear regulator burns the difference as heat. A buck converter switches instead and wastes ~10%.

5. Sa robot mo On your robot

May 3.3 V regulator ang ESP32 board; buck converter mula 7.4 V papuntang 5 V. The ESP32 board has its own 3.3 V regulator; the bot uses a buck from the 7.4 V battery.
